Why call the company Claro Testing?
Claro is a Spanish word. It is one of the most common words in spoken Spanish, used constantly to show you agree with someone.
It means "sure", "ok", "of course". However, it also means "clear" and "evident".
That fits in neatly with software testing, which is all about helping users to see clearly what the state of the software is, and to gain confidence, where it's justified, that it's ok to use.
Also, "claro" fits well with my specialism of usability. Clarity is crucial, and I think "claro" hints at clarity, even in English.
Apart from all that, I obviously needed a name that was simple, memorable and hadn't been used already by someone in the same line of business, and one that would easily lead straight to me on Google. It's working so far!
